Two Afghan women’s basketball teams sponsored by the Afghan Olympic Committee and Kabul City Mayor played an exhibition game as part of an International Youth Day celebration, Aug. 10, 2011. The new gold and purple uniforms for the teams had "Lakers" across the front and were provided as part of a recent Commanders Emergency Response Program project by U.S. Forces Afghanistan.
