Army colonel retires after 31 years of service

Army Col. James F. Bowie receives the Louisiana Legion of Merit from Maj. Gen. Bennett C. Landreneau, the Louisiana National Guard’s adjutant general, at a retirement ceremony honoring his 31 years of service at the Stafford House on Camp Beauregard in Pineville, La., July 19. Bowie’s last active duty assignment was the state inspector general for the LANG.
