Army colonel retires after 31 years of service

Army Col. James F. Bowie receives the Louisiana Legion of Merit from Maj. Gen. Bennett C. Bowie’s last active duty assignment was the state inspector general for the LANG.

Landreneau, LANG adjutant general, presided over the ceremony at the Stafford House on Camp Beauregard in Pineville, La., April 14.  Hopkins, a 26-year veteran of the LANG, is currently assigned as the commander of the Recruiting and Retention Command at Camp Beauregard.
