    Snowy Plover eggs are buried in sand at the Silver Strand Training Complex-North. Naval Base Coronado entered a partnership program with the California Department of Fish and Game Law Enforcement aimed at helping the preservation and protection of the nesting grounds of the endangered California Least Tern and Western Snowy Plover birds.
