Tamietti, assigned to 339th Military Intelligence Company, an Army Reserve unit attached to Task Force ODIN, is scheduled to retire after returning to military service in 2003. Tamietti served in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot and then retired from the commercial airline industry before re-enlisting to help train younger pilots serving in Iraq.
