4th Expeditionary Sustainment Command takes rein of Joint Sustainment Command - Afghanistan

Maj. Gen. Timothy P. McHale, United States Forces–Afghanistan deputy commander–support, welcomes 1st Sgt. Samuel O. Ogungbemi, 4th Expeditionary Sustainment Command first sergeant, to the Joint Sustainment Command–Afghanistan mission during the JSC-A transfer of authority ceremony, July 25, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The 4th ESC, a U.S. Army Reserve unit headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, assumed responsibility of JSC-A from the 184th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, a Mississippi Army National Guard unit headquartered in Laurel, Miss. The 4th ESC will be in charge of sustainment operations for U.S. and coalition forces throughout Afghanistan.
