A civilian contractor from Xe Services, (right), who could not give his name, tells his interpreter what to say to Afghan Border Police officers as they conduct vehicle patrol exercises at the ABP Border Center in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan. U.S. Army soldiers assigned to NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan partnered with civilian contractors to instruct ABP in weapons fundamentals, room clearance, establishing road check points and conducting vehicle and foot patrols. The seven-week program is designed to strengthen training for the border police to combat insurgent activity along Afghanistan's 1,200-mile boundary with Pakistan.
