Staff Sgt. Donny Timas, an MP with Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, pours simulated blood on an Iraqi man to replicate wounds caused by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device during a crime scene exploitation training exercise at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, July 6. Iraqi policemen from the Hit district trained for two weeks with 2/82 MPs to increase their ability to preserve a crime scene and collect evidence. As one of the few units to have taken part in every major campaign of the U.S. military's operations in Iraq, the 2/82 has been tasked with strengthening the Iraqi Security Forces as they work to maintain a safe and secure environment for the Iraqi people as the 2/82 leads the transition of U.S. Forces out of Iraq.
