Kraft, who serves with the 818th Engineer Company, is the non-commissioned officer in charge of the North Dakota National Guard quick reaction force team stationed at Solheim Elementary School each night. The team is ready to respond to any flood-related emergency at any time, day or night. They are among about 200 National Guard members serving on flood duty in the Bismarck-Mandan area.
