Candidates for Third Army Non-Commissioned Officer and Soldier of the Year 2011 were tested on their knowledge of military history, customs and courtesies, weapons, land navigation, oral and written boards at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Soldiers were expected to find five predesignated points located throughout post, with a map, land navigation equipment and grid coordinates.
