Civilian contractors work to finish up the wet side of the Fort Pierre barrier while the South Dakota Air National Guard’s 114th Fighter Wing provides levee security June 5. SDNG personnel and equipment are in place to provide quick reaction forces for levee reinforcement if needed. Water levels are projected to rise along the Missouri River as the Oahe Dam will release a historic 150,000 cubic feet-per-secon out of its gates June 7.
