Lt. Col. Thomas Yando picks-up his dummy parachute in preparation for British para training at Royal Air Force Base Brize Norton in the U.K. May 28th before departing together for St. Mere Eglise, France. USACAPOC(A) and British Army's 4th Parachute Regiment make up more than 70 percent of the Allied contingent for Task Force Normandy - this year commemorating the 67th anniversary of Operation Overlord. USACAPOC(A) and 4th Para's jump in the U.K. was scratched due to high winds.
