Gen. Robert W. Cone, the commanding general of the United States Training and Doctrine Command, swears in new recruits, Army, Marine, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard at the Annual Torrance Armed Forces Day Parade in Torrance, Calif., May 21. Torrance’s Armed Forces Day Parade is the city’s longest standing tradition. This year marks the 52nd year of this legacy, which began in 1960 under Mayor Albert Isen.
