    Rear Adm. Thomas Carney, commander of Task Force 73, greets a Royal Thai Navy officer during a tour of the sea turtle sanctuary at Sattahip Navy Base after the opening ceremony for the Thailand phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2011. The sanctuary is maintained by Thai sailors to preserve many species of sea turtles native to Thailand. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
