Service members retrieve cargo airdropped from a C-17 Globemaster III from Joint Base Charleston, S.C., near Forward Operating Base Todd, Baghdis province, Afghanistan, on Jan. 6. U.S. soldiers from Fort Carson, Colo., Italian soldiers from the Alpini Regiment in Udine, and other various U.S. and Italian service members all benefit from the airdrops, officials said.
