A resident of Tarok Kolache village in Arghandab district shovels clay into a pile of dirt April 1, in order to make bricks to rebuild houses in the village. The houses being constructed are part of a massive joint reconstruction effort by Tarok Kolache landowners and International Security Assistance Forces since the village, previously a Taliban stronghold, was destroyed Oct. 2010, in an effort to rid it of insurgents and large quantities of improvised explosive devices.
