A soldier from 1st Afghan National Army Battalion, 1st Afghan National Army Brigade, 205th Hero Corps, stands guard, April 1, on the road between Combat Outpost Stout and Tarok Kolache village in Arghandab District, to provide security for residents traveling to a mosque opening ceremony in the village. The mosque is the first completed structure in a massive joint reconstruction effort by Tarok Kolache landowners and International Security Assistance Forces since the village, previously a Taliban stronghold, was destroyed October 2010, in an effort to rid it of insurgents and large quantities of improvised explosive devices.
