Chris Coke, chief of staff for 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Joint Support Forces Japan, opens the bilateral symposium on mental health here March 31 by discussing the importance of interoperability and the exchange of information between subject matter experts of the two countries. Japanese and American psychiatry and mental health professionals met at a symposium here to exchange information and discuss ways to treat mental health issues survivors of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami may experience.
