Pierpont, a transportation management coordinator with the 743rd Transportation Company, plots a course for the land navigation portion of the 316th Expeditionary Support Command’s Best Warrior Competition. The Land Navigation Course is one of many events held at a best warrior completion and demonstrates the soldiers ability to find any destination with nothing more than a map, a compass and simple land and terrain features, such as a hill or a river.
