Marines attached to Humanitarian Assistance Survey Teams, III Marine Expeditionary Force (FWD) prepare travel to Sendai as part of the disaster relief effort here Mar. 14. The purpose of the team is to assess the affected areas of the disaster and report to Marine Forces Pacific what supplies will be needed to assist the government of Japan in rebuilding the areas damaged by the earthquake and tsunami.
