III MEF supports Operation Tomodachi

Thousands of pounds of relief supplies sit on the flightline here March 18 in preparation to be shipped to mainland Japan in support of Operation Tomodachi. III MEF Marines and sailors are supporting government of Japan-led humanitarian assistance/disaster relief operations in mainland Japan following the 9.0 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami that struck northern Japan March 11.
