Lt. Col. Michelle Rose and CSGM Ronald Smith Jr. of the 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion “case” the colors, marking the ceremonial end of the 529th deployment in Shindand, Afghanistan. During the transfer of authority ceremony, Rose highlighted the accomplishments of the battalion and encouraged the incoming 298th CSSB to build upon their successes. The 529th will return to their National Guard unit in Virginia. The 298th will be in Shindand for nearly a year and are a National Guard unit from Philadelphia, Miss.
