298th CSSB Takes Command in Afghanistan

The 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion and 298th CSSB soldiers stand side-by-side during a transfer of authority ceremony in Shindand, Afghanistan. The 298th CSSB is relieving the 529th CSSB. From Philadelphia, Mississippi, the 77 298th soldiers are charged with logistical support of forward deployed soldiers in Regional Command-West, and will be in Shindand for nearly a year. The 529th soldiers will return to their National Guard unit in Virginia after being in Shindand for nearly a year.
