Ahsunullah Pasoon, an Afghan journalist in the Laghman Province, watches a presentation by Mahtab Farid, a native of Santa Monica, Calif., and a U.S. State Department public diplomacy officer who has worked as a journalist in the U.S., Feb. 23 during the Afghan Journalism Seminar at the Information Culture and Youth center in Mehtar Lam, Afghanistan. Forty journalists, including eight women, attended the two-day professional development course, which featured classes taught by Farid and military journalists from Task Force Ironman a part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team 34th Infantry Division, Task Force Red Bulls.
