An Iraqi mortar crew scrubs the barrel of an 81 mm mortar as they prepare to fire during a live-fire exercise at Destiny Range in Ninewa province, Iraq, Jan. 25. The mortar crews trained on 60mm and 81mm weapons systems in cooperation with U.S. soldiers from 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, as part of Tadreeb al Shamil, Arabic for All-Inclusive Training. The training lessons focused on building Iraqi Army skills to conduct tactical military operations and national defense missions.
