Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio reads the gospel during Mass for the U.S. Army’s Area Support Group – Qatar parish members Dec. 24. Broglio, the head of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, celebrated the Christmas Eve Mass for about two dozen of the camp’s military and civilian personnel. He was installed as the fourth Archbishop of the Military Services, USA, on January 25, 2008. In addition to his visit to Qatar, Broglio will visit the Everett, Wash.-based aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), which is deployed to the region, and other military installation in the Middle East during the holiday season.
