Marines of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, and role players portraying Afghan National Army soldiers take cover-and-return fire at the Las Pulgas Military Operations in Urban Terrain town, Dec. 11. The Marines of 2nd Squad were tasked with conducting a cordon and search and setting up security for a planned key leader engagement in the village. The Marines trained to work with Afghan counterparts in preparation of their upcoming deployment.
