A mine clearing line charge is launched into the air during a clearing operation, known as Outlaw Wrath, in Sangin District, Dec. 4, 2010. Marines with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division (Forward), used the charges to set off any improvised explosive devices emplaced along the route. During the 8-day operation, coalition forces found and destroyed more than 50 IEDs.
