Capt. Daryl Caudle, commander of Submarine Squadron 3, welcomes the Virginia-class attack submarine USS North Carolina as she arrives at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam after completing a four-month inter fleet transfer from her former homeport at Groton, Conn. North Carolina is the third Virginia-class submarine to be stationed in the Pacific region.
