U.S. Navy Capt. Thomas M. Negus, commodore of Operation Continuing Promise 2010, presents a plaque to Kevin Kennedy, special assistant to the United Nations Secretary General, during a tour aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima, Nov. 8, 2010. The visit also served as an announcement that CP10 would depart the region of Haiti. Service members and civilians are deployed in support of CP10 providing medical, dental, veterinary, engineering assistance and subject-matter exchanges to Caribbean, Central and South American nations.
