Sgt. Steven Keyes, Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, and his wife, Laura, stand with U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr. during a promotion and recognition ceremony at Brigade Headquarters, Oct. 29. Keyes was one of eight 2BCT Paratroopers to be promoted to sergeant by Casey. Casey also presented eight Troopers with coins for outstanding performance, and presented one retirement award. He also met with brigade leadership to discuss the Falcon Brigade's transition from the Global Response Force, training and plans for a future deployment.
