Maj. Gen. Casella assumed duties as the commanding general and CEO of the Army and Air Force Exchange in April 2010. Prior to his current assignment Casella commanded the 63d Regional Support Command based in Moffett Field, California with a BASOPS mission to support 40,000+ Reserve soldiers over seven states in the Southwest from California to Arkansas, while simultaneously commanding the 63rd Regional Readiness Command in Los Alamitos with over 10,000 Reserve soldiers spread across seventeen western states.
