U.S. Marines Provide Food to Flood Victims in the Sindh Province

A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53 Super Stallion carrying bags of flour and boxes of high-energy biscuits donated by the World Food Programme prepares to land at an aid distribution point Oct. 12 near Pano Aqil Cantonment, Pakistan. The U.S. Marine Corps’ 15th and 26th Marine Expeditionary Units have been operating out of Pano Aqil on CH-46 Sea Knight and CH-53 Super Stallion helicopters since early September bringing relief supplies to those in need. Since U.S. relief operations began, U.S. military helicopters have transported more than 16 million pounds of supplies and evacuated more than 22,000 people.
