Apprentice Jhoker Erese, a Seabee with the Philippine Navy, saws concrete on the new two-room classroom being built by U.S. military and Armed Forces of the Philippines personnel as part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2011, Oct. 8. Phiblex '11 is a bilateral training exercise and security assistance program between the U.S. military and the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The exercise ensures disaster relief efforts are more responsive, efficient and effective and complement U.S. and Philippine humanitarian assistance efforts to improve quality of life for the Philippine people.
