Governor, Adjutant General Announce return of Aviators Serving in Iraq

Family, friends and fellow Guardsmen listen to the announcement that the Bismarck based Company C, 2nd Battalion, 285th Aviation Regiment will soon return home. The announcement was made by Gov. John Hoeven and Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, North Dakota adjutant general at the Raymond J. Bohn Armory, Bismarck, N.D., Sept 13, 2010. The 47 North Dakota Army National Guard soldiers were mobilized in Oct. 2009 and have been serving in Iraq since December. They are expected back in North Dakota by the end of the month.
