AM 630 WMAL Talk Radio morning co-anchor Bryan Nehman, rear center, smiles while flanked by members of the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard during a five mile run at Naval Support Activity Washington’s Naval Support Facility Anacostia. Nehman came to meet and run with sailors, while preparing for the command’s Navy 5-Miler run, which will occur, Sept. 26, at the Pentagon. While visiting, Ceremonial Guard commanding officer Cmdr. Vernon C. Hunter provided Nehman with a briefing about the unit, its mission, people and elements. While watching the Silent Drill Team perform its routine and gained appreciation for the dedication of its members to the precision necessary for success. Prior to his on-air success, Nehman served as an announcer for Naval Academy sports events. His father served more than 30 years as a Navy civilian employee. Nehman’s talk show co-anchor is former Congressman Fred Grandy, who is also famous for his acting role as Gopher on the television show, The Love Boat.
