The event was coordinated by Staff Sgt. Nicole Olcott, of Daytona Beach, Fla., a flight missions planner with Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, Task Force Lighthorse. The two boxes of school supplies came from the Matthew Freeman Foundation, the Adopt-A-Soldier program and Olcott's own non-profit organization, Operation New Start.
