Petty Officer 2nd Class Justin Lamb, hospital corpsman assigned to the medical department aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), evaluates a mariner who was rescued from the Arabian Sea after his vessel was engulfed in flames. Eight mariners were rescued by two SH-60 Sea Hawk helicopters assigned to the Dusty Dogs of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 7 and transported to Harry S. Truman where they were evaluated by medical staff and provided clothes and food. Harry S. Truman is part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike group and is deployed supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
