On Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, Maj. Gen. Joesph C. Carter, adjuant general, Massachusetts, addressed and audience during a send-off ceremony held for approximately 40 Security Forces airmen from the 102nd Intelligence Wing, Otis Air National Guard Base, Cape Cod, Mass., who are scheduled to deploy to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This marks the largest number of 102nf SFS airmen to deploy all at the same time since Sept. 11.
