Canadian Army Master Bombadier Joe Hawkins takes a break from working on a sound ranging system used to detect accoustic events like artillery actions or IED strikes at Canadian Forward Operating Base Ypres at Empire Challenge 10 (EC10). EC10 is an annual USJFCOM-led, multinational intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance demonstration that showcases emerging capabilities and provides lessons learned to improve joint and combined interoperability.
