Oregon's historical 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team continues forward

Oregon's Adjutant General, Brig. Gen. Raymond F. Rees, presents Col. Dan Hokanson with the distinguished Legion of Merit award during the change of command ceremony for the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team at the Salem Armory, June 10. The Legion of Merit is one of the highest honors bestowed upon members of the U.S. Army.

  • Master Sergeant Roberta Moline-Lueck, logistician for the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oregon National Guard, was awarded the "Female Veteran of the Year" award by the American Legion Auxiliary. Lueck was nominated by American Legion Post 180 in Milwaukie. The women are graded on their community service, service in the military, organizations in which they are involved and their character. Lueck, currently deployed in Iraq and unable to attend the award ceremony, taped her acceptance speech at Camp Adder, Iraq.

  • Soldiers of Detachment 1, Company B, Special Troops Battalion, 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team are honored in a mobilization ceremony, in Pendleton, Ore., June 2. The detachment is scheduled to deploy to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn. They will provide aerial reconnaissance support to the ground force commanders in Iraq, operating the RQ-7 Shadow unmanned aerial vehicles.
