Sgt. Adam Kourelis, 422nd Civil Affairs Battalion, Greensboro, N.C., tries to force his opponent off of him during the combatives portion of the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) Best Warrior Competition, June 15. Kourelis competed against 13 other Soldiers and non-commissioned officers from across the nation to take home this year's Best Warrior of the Year NCO category and represent USACAPOC at the Army Reserve competition in July. USACAPOC is five percent of the U.S. Army Reserve Command's force and is responsible for 20 percent of the Army Reserve deployments. The command is comprised of nearly 12,000 Soldiers in 67 units across 31 states. USACAPOC is home to 94 percent of the Department of Defense's CA capability and 71 percent of the DoD's PSYOP capability.
