Ata Mohammed stands at the bedside of his niece, Soroya, June 12 at Forward Operating Base Ghazni. She and another girl were in the worst condition after at least 60 girls were affected by nausea, vomiting and unconsciousness after a suspected poisoning gas insurgent attack. Members of the 655th Forward Surgical Team treated the two girls and decided they had recovered well enough to go without ventilator support.
