Sgt 1st Class Sergio Cortez, a combat medic and Lieutenant in the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, immobilizes his patient's broken arm while practicing the skills he learned during the Combat Lifesaver Course. Cortez is a member of the Army Reserve's 7222nd Medical Support Unit, located in Tampa, and participated in the unit's recent mass casualty exercise during weekend training. 1st Lt.
