Staff Sgt. Mark Covington from Gibson, N.C., assigned to the 402nd Brigade Support Battalion, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, coaches students through performing first aid tasks on a casualty during firefighting training located at Forward Operating Base Spin Boldak. The simulated casualties required students to wrap wounds, apply a tourniquet, and perform CPR.
