Thierry Burkard, commanding officer of the French Foreign Legion's 13th Demi-Brigade March, 31, 2010. The 24th MEU hosted a visit with a team of French soldiers from the 13th Demi-Brigade as a key leader engagement between the U.S. and French units in an effort to reinforce military ties and familiarize the French with the unique, Marine-Navy team that comprises a Marine Expeditionary Unit.
