    Lance Cpl. Aren Adams, a Light Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle mechanic with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, drives a LAV off a Navy Landing Craft, Air Cushioned craft-master from Assault Craft Unit 4 with USS Bataan,,during the 22nd MEU's final wash before returning to Camp Lejeune, N.C., at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, March 27. The wash down is a standard process that prevents foreign soil, agriculture and organisms from contaminating the U.S. The 22nd MEU, embarked aboard USS Bataan, deployed in support of Operation Unified Response after an earthquake devastated the country of Haiti, Jan. 12. Local and national government leaders, the United Nations, and non-governmental organizations took over primary responsibilities of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations within the 22nd MEU's area of responsibility.
