824th Quartermaster Company, Detachment 9 Soldiers display their Yellow Banner on Army Support Activity-Dix's Sharpe Field, March 20. The 824th QM Co., Det. 9, an Army Reserve unit from Fort Bragg, N.C., will deploy to Qatar to conduct a mission where they will prepare supplies such as ammunition, food, water, and parachutes to be air-dropped into Iraq and Afghanistan. The Yellow Banner is given to units who mobilize through ASA-Dix as a symbolic gesture that they are in the thoughts and well-wishes of the community. The banner is hung in Infantry Park while the unit is deployed and given back to the organization upon its return.
