Narvaez, non-commissioned officer in charge of training for the 72nd Signal Battalion (Expeditionary), from Manheim, Germany, competed in the 80th Ordnance Battalion's Modern Army Combatives Program tournament Sept. 27 at the East Gym at Joint Base Balad, Iraq. Narvaez, a Brooklyn, N.Y., native, was runner-up in the competition that included service members from the Army, Navy and Air Force.
