Sgt. Maj. Todd Sims (left), the 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment's operations sergeant major, Sgt. Omar Avila (center) and Sgt. Jay Fain (right) talk about their experiences in Iraq where all three served together in 2007 with 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. Both Fain and Avila were severely wounded during that deployment and this was the first time the two men, both retired from the Army, have returned to Iraq since being wounded.
