Lacey, a native of Houston, Miss., and gunner with 1st Platoon, B Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, out of Greenwood, Miss., performs a pre-combat check on his M240B machine gun at the Convoy Reainess Center yard at Forward Operating Base Warrior, Nov. 25. The battalion commander, Lt. Col. Kerry Goodman of Meridian, Miss., accompanied the platoon on a convoy security mission from Contingency Operating Location Q-West to FOB Warrior, Nov. 24 and 25.
